The American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED online course equips students with the knowledge necessary to recognize and care for a variety of breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults.

Recognizing breathing emergencies, Recognizing cardiac emergencies, CPR techniques for adults, AED operation and safety, Emergency response protocols.

Description:

This Program of Study focuses on life-saving techniques for adult cardiac and breathing emergencies. Learners will explore how to identify signs of cardiac arrest and respiratory distress, perform high-quality chest compressions and rescue breaths, and safely operate an automated external defibrillator (AED). The course also covers emergency scene assessment, when to call 911, and step-by-step response procedures to maximize survival outcomes in critical situations.

The Goal:

To provide learners with the knowledge and skills to respond confidently and effectively to adult cardiac and breathing emergencies through proper CPR technique, AED use, and adherence to emergency care protocols.

Adult CPR/AED Online is often the minimum requirement, however, if you want a more comprehensive online education we would recommend: Adult and Pediatric (Child and Baby) First Aid/CPR/AED Online
